2-Day Pingyao Ancient City Private Cultural Tour

Arrive in Pingyao and check in to a traditional courtyard inn inside the ancient city. Walk along the well-preserved Ancient City Wall for a panoramic view of the tile-roofed old town. Visit Rishengchang Draft Bank, the birthplace of China's first banking system, and explore the underground vault at Xie Tongqing Money Shop. Stroll through Ming-Qing Street with historic shops and the iconic City Tower. End the day with a relaxing night walk to enjoy the lit-up ancient city scenery.

Visit Pingyao Yamen (ancient county government) with a traditional court performance. Head to Shuanglin Temple, a UNESCO site known as the "Oriental Gallery of Colored Sculptures" to admire ancient Buddhist art. Optional extension to Wang Family Compound, the grandest Shanxi merchant mansion with exquisite carvings. Transfer to Pingyao Railway Station for departure at the end of the tour.
