Itinerario di 8 giorni: Pechino - Xi'an - Sichuan

Professional driver and guide wait for you at Chengdu Airport arrival hall, assist with luggage and transfer you to centrally located hotel. Free time after check-in for rest and jet lag recovery. Exact pick-up time will be confirmed 24 hours prior via phone/email/hotel front desk.

Hotel pick-up (time confirmed the previous evening), visit Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding (world's largest panda research base) to see active pandas eating and playing, best viewed in the morning. Self-paid authentic Sichuan lunch near the base. Afternoon visit Jinli Ancient Street for traditional folk culture and snacks, then stroll Kuanzhai Alley (well-preserved Qing Dynasty courtyard blocks) to experience old Chengdu life. Return to hotel in the evening.

Hotel pick-up, visit UNESCO World Heritage Dujiangyan Irrigation System, the 2200-year-old dam-free ancient water management project still in use today. Self-paid local farm-style lunch near Dujiangyan. Afternoon visit Qingcheng Mountain, the famous Taoist mountain with lush forests and ancient temples, enjoying fresh air and quiet traditional Chinese landscape. Return to Chengdu hotel in the evening.

Hotel pick-up, visit Sanxingdui Museum to see mysterious ancient Shu cultural relics including bronze masks, golden masks and sacred bronze trees that rewrite Chinese history. Self-paid local Guanghan specialties for lunch. Afternoon visit Wuhou Shrine (memorial of Three Kingdoms hero Zhuge Liang) and Du Fu Thatched Cottage (former residence of the great Tang poet Du Fu). Return to hotel in the evening.

Hotel pick-up, take comfortable high-speed train from Chengdu to Emei Mountain. Self-paid lunch after arrival, then visit UNESCO World Heritage Mount Emei (one of China's Four Great Buddhist Mountains), take sightseeing bus and cable car to Golden Summit to see the Ten Directions Samantabhadra statue. Check into hotel at the foot of Emei Mountain in the evening.

Continue exploring Mount Emei, hike among ancient temples, wild monkeys and cloud sea views to experience profound Buddhist culture. Self-paid lunch, then take high-speed train to Leshan to visit UNESCO World Heritage Leshan Giant Buddha (world's largest 71m stone Buddha carved in Tang Dynasty), with optional hiking path or river boat views. Check into Leshan city hotel in the evening.

Take high-speed train back to Chengdu. Self-paid lunch, then experience Chengdu's slow life at People's Park (local tea culture and traditional ear cleaning) and stroll Chunxi Road downtown shopping and food street. Return to hotel in the evening.

Free leisure time to explore local shops, cafes or buy souvenirs. Self-paid lunch, then private transfer to Chengdu airport or railway station, marking the end of the 8-day Chengdu & Western Sichuan tour.
