Important Notes

  1. Comfort & Safety:
    • Wear comfortable walking shoes, as you will be on your feet for most of the day, especially at the City Wall.
    • Bring a water bottle and sunscreen, especially during the summer months.
    • Follow your guide’s instructions when exploring the Terracotta Warriors museum, as photography with flash is prohibited in some areas.
    • If you choose to rent a bike on the City Wall, follow traffic rules and be aware of other cyclists and pedestrians.
  2. Time Management:
    • Arrive at the hotel lobby on time to avoid delays, as the drive to the Terracotta Warriors takes about an hour from central Xi’an.
    • Allow extra time for traffic during peak hours, especially on weekends and holidays.
    • If you plan to cycle the full loop of the City Wall, make sure to start early enough to avoid being caught in the dark.
  3. Cultural Etiquette:
    • Speak softly in the museum and at historical sites to show respect for the artifacts and other visitors.
    • Do not touch the terracotta warriors or any other relics, as they are fragile and protected by law.
    • Dress modestly when visiting the Big Wild Goose Pagoda and other religious sites.
  4. Flexibility:
    • The order of activities can be adjusted based on your preferences or weather conditions. Please inform your guide in advance if you have any special requests.
