Important Notes
-
Comfort & Safety:
- Wear non-slip, comfortable hiking shoes, as paths in the park can be uneven and slippery, especially near streams.
- Bring a light jacket—temperatures in the mountains can be 5–10°C cooler than the city, and mist can make the air chilly.
- Stay hydrated and bring snacks for energy, as the park is large and walking distances can be long.
- Follow all safety instructions at viewing platforms and on the Bailong Elevator.
-
Time Management:
- Arrive at the hotel lobby on time to avoid delays, as the drive to the park takes about 40–60 minutes.
- The Bailong Elevator and shuttle buses can have long queues during peak seasons (May–October, holidays). Your guide will help you plan the best route to minimize waiting time.
- Allow extra time for photo stops, especially at popular viewpoints like Yuanjiajie and Tianzi Mountain.
-
Environmental Etiquette:
- Do not litter in the park—Zhangjiajie is a protected natural reserve.
- Stay on marked paths to protect the fragile ecosystem and avoid getting lost.
- Do not touch or disturb plants, wildlife, or rock formations.
-
Flexibility:
- The order of scenic areas can be adjusted based on weather conditions and your preferences. For example, if mist is heavy in the morning, we can visit Golden Whip Stream first and head to Tianzi Mountain in the afternoon when visibility improves.
- Please inform your guide in advance if you have mobility concerns or dietary restrictions.
