8:00–11:00 Visit Temple of Heaven


A UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Temple of Heaven was the most sacred imperial sacrificial complex for Ming and Qing emperors to worship Heaven and pray for abundant harvests. Built in the 15th century, it follows the ancient philosophy of “round Heaven and square Earth”.

A UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Forbidden City is the world’s largest and best-preserved ancient wooden imperial complex, serving as the royal palace for 24 emperors of the Ming and Qing dynasties for nearly 500 years.
