After breakfast at your hotel, depart for Gudong Waterfall Scenic Area at 08:30, a 1.5-hour drive from downtown Guilin. As the only climbable multi-tier waterfall in China, Gudong Waterfall is nestled in lush subtropical virgin forest. You will be provided with safety helmets and anti-slip shoe covers to climb up the cascading rock faces alongside the flowing water, for an immersive nature adventure. Follow your guide along forest trails past ancient maple groves and crystal streams, learning about local ecology and folk tales along the way. Enjoy a farm-to-table lunch with fresh local specialties at a countryside restaurant near the scenic area at 12:30. In the afternoon, transfer 40 minutes to Guihai Qinglan, a serene scenic area featuring karst peaks, mirror-like lakes and vast grasslands.
