Hotel pick-up (time confirmed the previous evening), visit Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding (world's largest panda research base) to see active pandas eating and playing, best viewed in the morning. Self-paid authentic Sichuan lunch near the base. Afternoon visit Jinli Ancient Street for traditional folk culture and snacks, then stroll Kuanzhai Alley (well-preserved Qing Dynasty courtyard blocks) to experience old Chengdu life. Return to hotel in the evening.
Hotel pick-up, visit UNESCO World Heritage Dujiangyan Irrigation System, the 2200-year-old dam-free ancient water management project still in use today. Self-paid local farm-style lunch near Dujiangyan. Afternoon visit Qingcheng Mountain, the famous Taoist mountain with lush forests and ancient temples, enjoying fresh air and quiet traditional Chinese landscape. Return to Chengdu hotel in the evening.
Hotel pick-up, visit Sanxingdui Museum to see mysterious ancient Shu cultural relics including bronze masks, golden masks and sacred bronze trees that rewrite Chinese history. Self-paid local Guanghan specialties for lunch. Afternoon visit Wuhou Shrine (memorial of Three Kingdoms hero Zhuge Liang) and Du Fu Thatched Cottage (former residence of the great Tang poet Du Fu). Return to hotel in the evening.
Hotel pick-up, take comfortable high-speed train from Chengdu to Emei Mountain. Self-paid lunch after arrival, then visit UNESCO World Heritage Mount Emei (one of China's Four Great Buddhist Mountains), take sightseeing bus and cable car to Golden Summit to see the Ten Directions Samantabhadra statue.
