Badaling Great Wall & Longqing Gorge Private Day Tour

Your guide and driver will pick you up at your hotel lobby to start the day. On the way to the Great Wall, you will make a short stop at a famous local jade carving factory, where you can admire exquisite traditional Chinese jade craftsmanship and artwork. After the stop, continue to Badaling Great Wall, the most famous and best-preserved section of the Great Wall of China. You will spend around two hours exploring this iconic landmark, enjoying breathtaking mountain views from the highest point at about 800 meters above sea level. For a more spectacular experience, you can choose to take the cable car for a bird’s-eye view of the Great Wall and its surroundings (optional).

After touring the Great Wall, you will enjoy a delicious traditional Chinese lunch at a local restaurant (lunch fee is not included, pay on site).

Next, head to Longqing Gorge, located in the northeast of Yanqing District and known as the “Little Li River outside the Great Wall” and “Little Three Gorges of China”. Covering an area of 119 square kilometers, this scenic area features stunning natural landscapes including the largest concrete dam in northern China, over 70 meters high. In summer you can enjoy cascading waterfalls, while in winter the spectacular icefalls are a breathtaking sight. On the return trip, you may stop to experience traditional Chinese silk culture and view exquisite silk artworks if time permits. After a full day of sightseeing, you will be driven back to your hotel.
