Your guide will meet you at your hotel lobby to start the day, followed by a scenic drive to Gubei Water Town. Located at the foot of the majestic Simatai Great Wall, this charming ancient town is a clever blend of mountains, rivers and traditional Chinese architecture. After exploring the water town, you will enjoy a traditional Chinese lunch at a local restaurant inside Gubei Water Town (lunch fee is not included, pay on site).
After lunch, head to Simatai Great Wall, one of the most authentic sections of the Great Wall of China. Only partially restored, this well-preserved original section is famous for its five distinctive features: dangerous, dense, peculiar, ingenious and varied, making it a truly unique and fascinating Great Wall experience. After your exploration, you will be driven back to your hotel in downtown Beijing, ending a day full of magnificent scenery and rich cultural memories.
